Patricia Filan passed away peacefully on August 27, 2024, in Vancouver, BC, surrounded by her family. A devoted (grand)mother and dedicated elementary school teacher, Patricia spent much of her life nurturing children. Her love for the outdoors was evident in her passion for hiking and cycling, activities she enjoyed throughout her life. Patricia was also an avid traveller, exploring new places and cultures whenever she had the chance.

In addition to her professional and personal pursuits, Patricia gave back to her community through her longtime volunteer work with HOB Too in support of the Vancouver Hospice Society. Fittingly, she was cared for at Vancouver Hospice at the end of her life.

Patricia is lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband, two children, one grandchild, and eight siblings, as well as many dear friends and extended family. They will remember her for her adventurous spirit, her warm kindness, and her love of life.

The family kindly suggests that those wishing to honour her memory consider making a donation to the Vancouver Hospice Society.
