As part of my MBA capstone, I started a podcast to help Canadians integrate environment, social and governance (ESG) factors into their corporate strategy and personal lives. The podcast, Green Bull Radio, interviews notable leaders to explore thought leadership, case studies and trends in ESG. Many of the interviews highlight ESG, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the various ways organizations integrate them into their company. I have interviewed notable individuals such as a member of the United Nations’ sustainable develop goal (SDG) team, Pembina Pipeline’s board chair, Foresight Cleantech Accelerator’s CEO and the City of Stockholm (Sweden) sustainability department. The podcast has attracted members of polarized discussions and invited them to listen to various viewpoints on a neutral platform. I do not voice my own opinions on the podcast in order to create a bi-partisan tone that invites intellectual, informed discussions. I try to bring together polarized worlds to highlight commonalities and advance ESG issues to create a better world. Green Bull Radio's listeners span Canada, the U.S., U.K. northern Europe and beyond. As a result, I was recently named as a nominee for the BC Cleantech Awards and a Canada Clean50 award. Moving forward, I intend to expand my interviews throughout Europe where much of the ESG thought leadership happens. This move also aims to bridge the gap between the European and North American investor communities and advance the sustainability innovation movement.

Outside of my podcast, I work for TC Energy in communications. I volunteer my time on Leading Change’s Social Equity, Governance and ESG Hub. The Hub is part of Globe Series’ small, focused, time-bound working groups comprised of young Canadians (19-35 years of age) and supported by subject matter experts. They aim to create a structured space for young people to discuss and collaborate on critical topics and may lead to youth-initiated recommendations to industry, government, and/or the public at large. A lifelong equestrian, I also volunteer with the Canadian Horse Defense Coalition (CDHC) where I advance the group’s mission to ban the slaughter of horses for human consumption in Canada. CHDC also lobbies to ban the inhumane transport and export of live horses to other countries for consumption.
