Ian passed away in January, 2025, at Royal Inland Hospital.

He was a dedicated teacher, teaching in Prince George and Kamloops. He was honoured when he received the Teacher of the Year award in 1988.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Audrey; their four children, Dawn, Valerie, Glen, and Keith; and 10 grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
