Simon Moore, MD’10

Dr. Simon Moore, CEO and co-founder of The Review Course in Family Medicine, was awarded the 2020 Mensa Canada Distinguished Educator Award. The award recognizes an educator for their positive impact on the education or life of a Mensa member. In this case, the member was Dr. Paul Dhillon, fellow co-founder of The Review Course in Family Medicine. “Simon has a unique ability to…transfer educational content...to students at all levels in a manner that is thoughtful, humourous when required, and most importantly in the landslide of medical knowledge that must be consumed - memorable,” says Dr. Dhillon. “It was a unique relationship [working alongside Simon] that allowed for harsh, unfiltered feedback on how to improve myself and incredible to see the positive effect that he has had across the Canadian Family Medicine landscape over the past five years.” In addition to being a practicing family physician in Vancouver, Dr. Moore is a clinical assistant professor at UBC and regular keynote speaker across the country. He is passionate about making learning as entertaining as it is educational and has taught over 2000 participants of The Review Course in Family Medicine over the last five years across major cities in Canada.
