Devon L. Muhlert, formerly known as Dorothy Oehlke, is celebrating a 50-year career in the arts. She is self-employed as an award-winning photo-journalist and private music teacher of classical guitar, flute and saxophone. A columnist and composer besides, Devon still writes and arranges for her choirs, the latest being the Bashful Balladeers. Internationally published, she recently authored the historical novel Cadence of Colour about a woman painter who wasn’t allowed to paint for 24 years. Muhlert has been married for 44 years to her husband, Alex, who often provides technical assistance for her concerts and events.
