Robert (Bob) M. Wadsworth 1928-2022

Bob passed Monday, October 10, 2022, at the age of 94. He is predeceased by his wife Pat (née Beck) of 61 years and is survived by his children Bill, Richard (Luc), and Margaret, as well as many extended family and friends.

Bob was born and raised in New Westminster. He received a BCom from UBC in 1952, followed by a CA designation. Bob was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. He and Pat met and made many lifelong friends at UBC. Once married, Bob and Pat moved to Vancouver in 1956 and raised their family in the Kerrisdale area. Teaching accounting and business administration at Langara College became Bob’s true passion. He was an avid tennis player well into his eighties and stayed as active as he could with personal training until very recently. Travel was always a big part of Bob’s life, and he and Pat travelled the world throughout their marriage.

Bob loved people. Family and friends were always important. He loved nothing more than a big table of people for dinner, cocktails, or a good party. Bob was always someone who got involved with things and volunteered his time to many organizations and community groups throughout his life. His smile was contagious. He was gentle, kind, and welcoming. Curious, loving and non-judgemental, he was loved by everyone that knew him.
